Is there any plan to provide Gaofen data (from CNSA)? It seems some data products which would complement Sentinel 2 and Landsat have been publicly available since late last year:
We looked into this a while ago but there are some major issues, namely that the data are not available in the cloud, so one would have to download and store everything and, even more problematic, a proprietary data format, which requires pre-processing with a proprietary (desktop) application… So quite a demanding task in terms of work, compute and storage cost.
