We have replaced the MODIS (MCD43A4) data source with the one from Astraea. This one offers more history compared to the previous one (since February 2000).
MODIS MCD43A4, being a 16-days composite, is quite a “friendly” dataset for time-lapses as there are not many clouds. You can therefore build 18-year “daily” time-lapses if you find places where this is actually interesting.
More MODIS products will be available in the future. We will keep you posted.
