Upgrading subscription plan on the way

We are planning to subscribe a plan for commercial use. Our business has been growing up but still not in the phase of larger stability; however, in less than 6 months, there is a possibility we could have more customers than 3 times of the past. Here is our thought how we could subscribe.

(1) Monthly basic subscription first, and upgrading it to annual enterprise S when we get much customers.
(2) Annual basic subscription first, and upgrading it to annual enterprise S when we get much customers if it is capable of discounting enterprise S plan because of basic cancellation on the way.

Which one would be better?

(2) is certainly better. In case of upgrade we calculate the “unspent” part of the annual basic subscription and use it for partial compensation of the larger annual plan. You will therefore benefit from the annual 17% discount for both of the packages.
